*DC Comics has officially announced their plans for releasing Zero-numbered issues for all of their 52 titles this September.  four new titles will also be launched that month including Sword of Sorcery #0 featuring a revamped Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld; a Batman Court of Owls spinoff, Talon #0; The Phantom stranger #0 and a DC/Wildstorm merging of team seven #0!

*AMC has released the first image of actor David Morrisey as The governor from the upcoming third season of The walking Dead. So maybe he’s introduced fairly early since they just started filming a few weeks ago?

*Teen Titans Go! will be joining the DC nation block on cartoon Network with all-new half-hour episodes in 2013! Please tell me they’re going to keep the Puffy Ami Yumi theme song!

*Warner brothers has struck a licensing deal with 20th Century Fox to sell merchandise related to the classic 1960s Batman TV Show! Still no deal to release the show on home video because of complicated rights issues but we might be one step closer because of this new deal!

*Disney XD’s Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes Animated series will NOT be renewed for a third season in lieu of a new series coming in 2013 called Avengers Assemble.

*Actor Josh Dallas had to drop out of playing Fandral again in the Thor 2 movie due to his commitment to ABC’s once Upon A Time, so Zachary Levi of NBC’s Chuck is expected to take over the role!

Batman “Zero Year” begins in June’s Batman #21

 

The next huge Batman arc by Scott Snyder as well as Greg Capullo begins with problem #21 this June. Zero Year is the 11-issue long, new 52 equivalent of Batman Year One as well as spins out of the preview from Batman #0 last September!

December’s wonder woman ’77 meets The Bionic woman #1

 

Following the success of Batman ’66 meets The green Hornet, DC Comics and Dynamite entertainment team up once again for this December’s Wonder woman ’77 meets The Bionic woman #1!

And, speaking of the green Hornet, Dynamite entertainment has announced green Hornet: reign of the Demon,  a new 4-issue mini-series beginning this December!

Grant Morrison revisits his dark and gritty version of Santa Claus one more time and just in time for Christmas in Boom! Studios’ Klaus and the Witch of winter  scheduled for December 21, an all-new 48-page one-shot with a $7.99 cover price! The one-shot follows the “Klaus” hardcover collecting the initial seven-issue miniseries, which is due out in November!

DC’s first big post-Rebirth event is December’s Justice league VS suicide Squad 6-issue mini-series that will also tie-in to January’s regular issues of, what else?, Justice league and suicide Squad!

Star Trek: Discovery, the first television series produced specifically for CBS’s streaming service “All Access” will also have a tie-in comic published by IDW when the series premieres in January 2017!

Also, Boom! Studios’ Kong of Skull Island will now be an ongoing series!

Marvel is bringing back their Monsters Unleashed titles with a team of creative all-stars including writer Cullen Bunn and artists Salvador Larocca, Leinil Yu, Steve McNiven, Greg Land, and Adam Kubert!

The Jetsons will soon be joining DC’s line of updated Hanna-Barbera toons!

Marvel’s Nighthawk series has been cancelled with issue #6!

DC is re-releasing Watchmen in a new boxed set of individual hardcovers a la the hardcovers they’ve been releasing for the Dark Knight III: The Master Race!

Brian Michael Bendis has announced that the PlayStation series adaptation of his Powers comic has been cancelled after 2 seasons!

*Frank Cho will be announcing a new comic that he will be writing and drawing himself at next week’s San Diego Comic con entitled guns & Dinos. (But, what’s it about?)

*Check out the first three pages of league of remarkable Gentlemen – Century #2: 1969, currently scheduled to be released on July 27!

*Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness reunite this December for a cryptic project so far referred to only as _ _ _ _ _ Reborn. What do YOU think it is? Bucky? Hulks? The answer will  be announced in two weeks at the cup O’ Joe Panel in San Diego! stay tuned.

*No release date yet on Captain America: White but Jeph Loeb commented recently that Tim Sale has all the scripts and work continues until its completed.

*It looks like another publisher from the past, first Comics, will returning in the near future.

*The next comic one-shot based on Felicia Day’s hit web series, The Guild: Clara,  is due in September.

*The trailer for DC’s direct-to-DVD animated Batman: Year One is now out and looks very faithful to the source material. will also include a new Catwoman short!
