Gemma Chan reportedly Springs Eternal landing unknown role In next big MCU film

According to reports, crazy beautiful Gemma Chan, many known for her roles in AMC/Channel 4’s Humans and crazy rich Asians, is in talks to join Marvel’s Eternals (announced during marvel phase 4). That’s, of course, the upcoming film based on the comic series of the same name. (I’m an Eternals expert, AMA, and you can read much more about the history of the Eternals.) Here’s everything we know so far.

Wait, Isn’t Gemma Chan already In The MCU?

Chan is certainly not an unfamiliar name to fans of the marvel Cinematic Universe, as she’s already appeared in a marvel movie. In case you forgot, she played Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel. (See the picture up top to revitalize your memory.) depending on when the Eternals film is set–no spoilers–she could be stepping into the Kree sniper’s boots again. However, no one knows at this time, so there’s also a chance that she could play an entirely different role.

That, of course, would be a little unusual, but not completely unheard of. several actors have played multiple roles in the MCU. Usually, though, at least one of their roles is a bit part or a hidden part. A good example would be someone like Sean Gunn, who’s played Kraglin in the Guardians of the Galaxy films, but also does the motion-capture work for Rocket Raccoon. in some cases the parts are separated by medium. Alfre Woodard played Mariah in Luke Cage on Netflix, then played the character responsible for kicking off the war part of Captain America: Civil War. If Chan’s Eternals role is substantial, then it will mark a departure from the typical way the MCU handles multiple roles.

What Else We Know

Honestly, not much. As we’ve previously reported, the film is slated for release on November 6, 2020. Chloe Zhao will direct, and Matthew and Ryan Firpo have written the script. beyond that, information is scant at this point, although we have a few much more details on the cast. like we’ve previously said, Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, and Salma Hayek have joined on. The cast also includes Bryan Tyree Henry, Kumail Nanjiani, and Don Lee, as announced at Comic-Con last month. because then, Barry Keoghan, known for Dunkirk and the scenes I fast-forwarded in the hit HBO show Chernobyl, has also joined the cast, although his role is currently unknown.
